We just bought our first down comforter set and I am very happy! We went for a little bit cheaper comforter (about 80$). I find the fabric to be a little stiff but after I put it inside my duvet it didn’t make a difference (to me at least). I haven’t seen any duvet feathers outside the comforter yet. The thing I find amazing about a down comforter is that even it is extremely lightweight, it is still very warm and fluffy and keep me warm all night. My husband even noticed he didn’t have night sweat anymore.

I recently purchased the Appalachian 300-Thread-Count Full/Queen White Down Comforter. It came out to be on the lighter side. a little lighter than I had hoped, but that was my mistake because it did mention it was a light weight. Fortunately, overall the comforter is of decent quality. The biggest concern is that the comforter bag that it came in has the “goose” part whited out. It reads “white ____ down comforter.” I’m not sure why they whited out the goose part, my only guess is that they could not guarantee that it was goose down. I feel like I overpaid a little for what I received.

I recently purchased a very nice down comforter set. Although my bed is a queen size, I decided to go for a king size comforter, because I like to roll myself in the comforter and feel that I still have a lot of material around me. Because of that, the feathers do clump towards the ends a little bit. To get rid of that problem I simply shake my comforter every once in a while and it seems to do the trick of making the comforter all fluffy again!
